The first time I entered the Jardin Vertical premises I knew nothing about aeroponics. I was immediately impressed by the process and the quality of the resulting production. Then I got to know Chad and his accomplice better and after discussing more in depth, I had the idea of offering him the opportunity to grow peppers that are almost impossible to find fresh in Quebec. The chilaca and mirasol varieties are part of the staple of Mexican cuisine because when dried, they become pasilla and guajillo, respectively. I also brought seeds of Thunder Mountain Longhorns, a Chinese variety that can grow to 12 inches long and more. The friends immediately accepted and the plants produced magnificent fruits which we shared. This community approach is exceptional and much appreciated and I am already looking forward to seeing them in their new premises. Long live the Vertical Garden!
